Day Fifty-Five

With yesterday being such a long day, I am home today. It's a gloomy Friday but I am just happy to take a moment to myself.

I still logged on of course to knock a few things off the to do list but I'm going to try and keep that minimal today - do the bare necessities and take the rest as an actual break.

I tried to sleep in a bit - and then people started arriving at the house. Today we have the electrician trying to figure out what is wrong with our future master bathroom. Then a few of my husband's guys are also here to do a few other random half finished projects around the house.

Fingers crossed & knock on wood - we might be on track to finish before my birthday in 2 weeks.

The pups are happy to have people around. We already got a little bit of outside time in, despite the rain.

I was able to take it fairly easy work-wise. It was a full rest day though - I was exhausted and it was a break day for squats so I took a rest and did not exercise at all.

We had subway for lunch since he had guys over to help with the bathroom reno. After my last meeting for work, we went to home depot and got what is hopefully the rest of the items needed to finish the upstairs project.

For dinner I made two eggs (and scrambled eggs for the pups).

I did go a little over as I was craving a bit of chocolate so I had some brookside pomegranate things too. I had thought about just having those earlier but I prefer to have them with milk and I felt like my water consumption this week has been less than desired so eggs would prompt me to drink water instead of anything else.

Wrapped the day up stimulating the brain with the MH370 documentary (conspiracy theories) on Netflix.

On the topic of TV though - the Disney+ Limitless with Chris Hemsworth is quite interesting. I have just one more episode to go and so far, it has been intriguing to see what options he is exploring for better health. I don't think I'd go so far as the levels he is attempting - but it is even interesting to see that for someone "in shape" how these are still tough for him. And as I am moving along my health journey, maybe smaller versions of these ideas will be useful to implement.
