Day Sixty-Nine

Happy Friday all!

Today is my birthday!

It is starting off a bit gloomy... I did not sleep the greatest (too hot) and then had to get up at a reasonable hour instead of sleeping in because the crew is back to do more work today. It's also very grey and even rained a bit already this morning. This is the first year in a long time that I haven't had great weather on my birthday. Hopefully it won't be gloomy all day / they can get a lot done. 

I have yet to decide what I am going to do today.

Yesterday, I picked out a bunch of new recipes to try. I still need to sort them out. I also need to still go through the food / reorganize the freezer / make a grocery list / clean up the house a bit... but those aren't sounding to appealing to me at the moment so we'll see. 

So far, I've sat out (prior to the rain) with the pups to enjoy my tea. And I woke up to my giant fur baby wanting to snuggle. 

Spent the morning doing a lot of nothing.

Went to lunch with hubby and crew. We went to a local spanish place. I had a shrimp/carne/chicken quesadilla with a smidge of guac. That's gonna be the big meal of the day.

No pic because I was starving by the time it came. I usually eat around noon. Food was served between 1:30-2. 

Now I'm back with the pups. It is still a very dreary day out. They are hopefully going to finish the platform/steps for the front porch though. The roof will have to be a later project.

The front deck was installed, but rain kicked into high gear before they could finish the steps. So they all came inside and focus shifted to moving furniture for me!

They got all the furniture into the right rooms per my instruction. By then the rain had stopped and they headed back out and I switched into furniture rearrange mode. All rooms got set up to some degree before the end of the day. Finished out the evening with chickpea pasta & asparagus and the Mandalorian. 

It may not be everyone's birthday wish - but for a rainy day, I was happy to have such a productive one!
