Day 120

Today I am moving slow.

Between the yoga and planting and moving around a bunch yesterday, I am feeling tired and sore. I still need to make it out to the grocery store today for hopefully just a small list of things. And then I'll have to figure out what I want to eat this week. It looks like it's going to be a nice day out - I am just waiting for it to heat up a little more before heading out to enjoy (the sun needs to dry out some of my seating options ideally).

---

It's Mother's Day so Happy Mom Day to all the kinds of mothers out there!

---

My day started with tea and the summer version of Magnolia Journal.

I always love to read them because they are inspiring and makes you take a moment to let it all sink in.

It's still early today - I've got the whole day ahead. And I am just not sure what to do with it.

I'd love to sit and read. I'd love to research more about the plants we are working on in the garden. I'd like to get the fence up around the garden. I'd like to help my husband move his clothes out of the old closet so his parents can finally settle in. I should grocery shop. I should prep for the week. I should do laundry. I need to pay my bills. I need to make sure all the plants have been watered. I want to plan a trip.

I want to do what is going to make me feel refreshed and re-energized.

It's not always clear what that is though.

---

The hubby helped decide for me. He finally worked to move his closet upstairs. So I was helping him until lunch time.

My version shrimp pasta leftovers

Then we went out to run just a few errands. Ended up making way more stops than planned... But we got everything we needed and then some.

We stopped at the nursery and got some pond plants for him and of course another plant for me!

Picked up the grocery's.

Came back and got his plants settled, unpacked the groceries and started on dinner.

He wanted to make some carne asada we had frozen. So I roasted baby potatoes, cooked refried black beans, and green beans. Then as he was cleaning the yard up I grilled up the carne.

Carne at our house is usually reserved for holidays or birthdays.

So even though it's not in my diet plan, I did have carne tonight with dinner.

Even more important to me than saying oh I went x amount of days without meat, I need to be able to follow a diet that works for me. And not "missing" food is a big part of that in my opinion.

Dinner was a couple baby potatoes, black beans, guac, mixed salad greens, and carne asada. And it was delish.

And in the process of making dinner, I meal prepped for this week.

(no carne) just potatoes and green & black beans.

No yoga today. Plenty of walking though.

Finished the evening with a movie and now it's time for bed to start the week off well.
