Day 187 - straighten up Sunday

Today I am cleaning up. I really dislike messes and disorganization at home. But it seems like my house is constantly in a state of chaos. And there isn't a good reason for it, it's just adults and doggos here. Yet my island fills with non kitchen items as well as my dining room table.
And though I'll acknowledge a small portion of blame... It's really not my stuff that ends up there.

So today I am clearing my surfaces and swapping things around in drawers and cabinets in hopes that this time, we'll keep it clean.

In the process I've found more items to donate and get rid of, which is great. Of course who knows how long it will all sit there before I actually take it out but it's a start.

I started the day with a relaxing sit outside with my tea and the pups.
Checked on the garden, etc. Then started my purge.

Had an early lunch today of all the leftovers from last night's dinner... Refried black beans, asparagus, and broccoli.
After lunch, I walked around the property with the hubby to see what we've got going on mid project and what the next plans will be. He's thinking goats...

This afternoon I also started a propogation attempt:
Hopefully that goes well and I can try others too...

Early dinner today. I spent some time cooking two different options for lunches this week. And since I don't need too much for lunch, I served up two bowls for myself and the hubby while it was still hot.

So we had my version of spicy street corn....corn, onion, black beans, chickpeas, bell pepper, jalapeno, and mayo.
Made my way mostly through my to do list. Got laundry done and put away. Food prepped for the rest of the week. Last of the random things got put away (at least everything I can make the call on myself).

After all that, it was time to get back to yoga. I keep saying I need to get back to it and then don't make the time. Today I've fit so much into this day, I had plenty of time to jump back into a full yoga session, not just a mini wing it kinda thing.

And with the early and healthy meals today, I've got some calorie wiggle room to fit in a sweet treat... Low calorie ice cream and dark chocolate pomegranates.
Now for some TV time before calling it a night and a wrap on this weekend.
