Day 193 - Superb Saturday
Today was a great day. I started out with my tea and hanging with the pups, outside for a smidge, then up in my creative office. We eased into the day with some TV time on the Magnolia channel while I reorganized my desk. It had started getting some piles on it and now it's nice and clear and inspirational again. Plus I had ordered just a couple of things (finally) from Magnolia and they had arrived so I unboxed them and am very excited to start using it all.
Then I jumped right into my yoga for the day. I did not do my friday night session so I needed to do both Friday and Saturday this morning. Which worked out quite well, neither was a super long practice but the first one was more of a work out and the second was a great cool down. Since I was in a reorganizing mood, I also shifted around my 'zen zone'.
The pups kept me company:
I cleaned up and got 'ready' for the day. Next up, lunch time! I had some salad greens that were probably on their last stretch so I made a jumbo salad with carrots, celery. green pepper from the garden, spicy guac, and tuna. It was yummy.
Then for the afternoon, I worked my way through my to do list; doing laundry, cleaning up the kitchen, watering the plants, checking on the chickens, checking the garden, etc.
I jumped into meal prepping early because I will have to go into work tomorrow when I usually prep for the week. Again, I made two different sets of meals. I had thought up four options last week and only made two so this week I already had the ingredients and ideas ready. So I prepped two big pots and now have 8 meals ready.
Once I wrapped that up, the hubby got home and a big storm rolled through. It did not last long but the crazy wind did its damage. We lost power, the whole gazebo was pushed off the deck, tree branches came down... the yard is a mess.
We got the gazebo back in place and power was only out for about 2 hours. Unfortunately, we did not set up the generator in time and he lost a couple fish (lack of bubbles/oxygen in the water).
I did reach a full week streak for attaining my watch fitness goals!
After the power came back, we got everything back to normal hook ups and I got to heat up my dinner: chickpea pasta, kale, spinach, garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, beets, and cream cheese.
I then settled in on the couch to watch something just for a little but then realized Sweet Magnolias season 3 had come out so I ended up watching a bunch of those before finally calling it a night.
