Day 239 - stress

Today was a less than pleasant work day. Simple mindless errors were made while I was away and I'm continuing to find more. Which is infuriating. It's not that hard to do the little things (in my opinion). And then on top of that my team felt like they should get a pat on the back, 10 minutes after throwing a temper tantrum like a toddler over a non-issue....
I actually had to tell them to leave it alone, now is not the time, and physically leave the office. I stepped outside and called my husband to vent and try and recenter before my big Wednesday meeting.
I got things done but it set a bad tone for the day.
I checked on my heart rate and was thrilled to see resting was under 60 while I was on vacation but disappointed to see how quickly work stress brings me back into the red zone.

I started my day with chai tea and overnight oatmeal as per usual
I ate later than normal due to all the morning nonsense.

So my midafternoon 'lunch' was just my veggie snack
Then more work urgencies interrupted my break and I didn't have my actual packed lunch until about 5 pm, which was the last of the zucchini veggie medley and refried black bean side.

Once I got home, I prepped food for the next few days and then decided to finish the day with a sweet treat
Skinny cow ice cream sandwich

I then went to do my evening yoga session. Once that wrapped up, I let the dogs out and planned to head to bed early. Then I heard something odd and realized my husband's pond was nearly drained out instead of full of water.
A phone call to him later and I found the problem, fixed what I could, and now I'm typing this why I wait for the hose to refill what it can before I head to bed.

So instead of an early night, pivoted to fish saving, and relaxing with my girlie
Another change today, my watch did an update so I'll be curious to see what that does and I reinstalled duolingo to pick up Spanish again. I want to be able to better communicate with my husband's family and I know some so I really feel like I need to see this through. And it can only help for when we start traveling (and even at work).
